Other skin boosters: Profhilo, Elravie Re2O, Chanel injection, Rejuran S and Rejuran i

Beyond Rejuran, Juvelook and SKINVIVE, four names come up often in Seoul. Profhilo is an Italian hyaluronic acid complex; Elravie Re2O is a Korean booster made from donated human dermal matrix; the “Chanel injection” is a nickname for multi-ingredient mesotherapy such as NCTF 135 HA; and Rejuran S and Rejuran i are versions of Rejuran for scars and thin eye-area skin.

What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is made by IBSA in Italy and has been on the market since 2015. It combines high- and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid into stable “hybrid cooperative complexes”, made with a heat process rather than chemical cross-linking agents, so it spreads easily in the tissue instead of forming a shaped deposit [1].
A 2026 systematic review of nine studies with 278 participants, written by authors including IBSA staff, reported improvements in skin elasticity, hydration, density and laxity, with mild side effects such as bruising and swelling that usually resolved within 72 hours [2]. A post-marketing analysis counted 371 adverse-event reports against an estimated 1.09 million people treated on the face between 2018 and 2023; because these are spontaneous reports, the figure is not a personal complication rate [3].
On 18 October 2026 we found no Profhilo entry in the FDA’s premarket approval or 510(k) databases, and none under that name in the MFDS medical device database. Ask any Seoul clinic offering it which product and licence it is using.

What is Elravie Re2O, the Re2O skin booster?
Re2O (sometimes written Re20; 리투오 in Korean) is made by L&C Bio, which lists it among its human tissue products: human acellular dermal matrix, ground into fine particles, made of the collagen, elastin, proteins and proteoglycans that form real skin (checked 18 October 2026). A finer version, Re2O Fine, is listed alongside it.
Because it is a processed human tissue rather than a synthetic device, its Korean route is different. The trial registration describes Elravie Re2O as a human tissue product supplied under a tissue bank establishment permit from MFDS, with 150 mg of matrix per 5 mL syringe.
In that randomised, double-blinded split-face trial, 20 adults with rough cheek skin received three injections a month apart: Re2O plus a hyaluronic acid booster on one cheek and the hyaluronic acid booster alone on the other. Over 20 weeks, the Re2O side improved more on skin density, volume, elasticity, wrinkle depth, pore area and hydration, and no serious adverse events were seen [4]. It is one small trial; the FDA’s device databases held no Re2O record on the same date.

What is the “Chanel injection”?
It is a Korean clinic nickname, not a product of the fashion house. The name is used for multi-ingredient mesotherapy solutions such as NCTF 135 HA from the French company FILLMED. Because a nickname is not a product name, ask to see the box or vial.
The manufacturer describes NCTF 135 HA as 60 ingredients, including free (non-cross-linked) hyaluronic acid at 5 mg/mL and 12 vitamins, CE marked and certified under the EU Medical Device Regulation in February 2025, with a starting course of three sessions three weeks apart (checked 18 October 2026). In a manufacturer-funded randomised trial, 146 adults received either three treatment sessions plus a moisturiser or the moisturiser alone; the injected group had fewer superficial wrinkles on the crow’s feet, neck and décolleté at day 75 and day 120, and most side effects were mild and resolved within 48 hours [5].
What are Rejuran S and Rejuran i?
Both are versions of Rejuran’s polynucleotide booster and share its Korean licence, MFDS permit 제허14-825호. PharmaResearch describes Rejuran i for thin skin such as the eye area and Rejuran S for wrinkle and scar areas in a September 2026 press release. A separate product, Rejuran HB plus, combines polynucleotides with hyaluronic acid and has its own licence for crow’s feet.
Scar treatment is a common use in Korea: in a survey of 501 dermatologists, 73.0% used polynucleotide injections for scars, most often to prevent scars and to treat atrophic scars, usually over three sessions [6]. Delight Dermatology Clinic in Seoul lists a 1 cc Rejuran Eye treatment at KRW 200,000–300,000 per session. Prices checked 2026-10-18; confirm at consultation. The full Rejuran range is on the Rejuran page.
How do these boosters compare?
| Product | Material | Korean status | US FDA record | Main evidence |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Profhilo | High- and low-molecular-weight HA complexes | No MFDS device entry found under this name | None found | Systematic review of nine studies (278 people) |
| Elravie Re2O | Micronised human acellular dermal matrix | Human tissue product (tissue bank permit) | None found | One split-face trial (20 people) |
| NCTF 135 HA (“Chanel injection”) | HA 5 mg/mL with vitamins and amino acids | No MFDS device entry found under this name | None found | One randomised trial (146 people) |
| Rejuran S and Rejuran i | Polynucleotides | MFDS Class 4 device | None found | Small trials of Rejuran; scar survey |
Is Profhilo the same as a filler?
No. It is hyaluronic acid, but it is designed to spread through the tissue for hydration and laxity rather than to add shape [1].
Is Re2O made from human skin?
Yes. It is processed donor dermal matrix with the cells removed, which is why Korea handles it as a human tissue product rather than a synthetic device.
Does the Chanel injection come from Chanel?
No. It is a nickname for a mesotherapy solution. Ask which product is in the vial; NCTF 135 HA is one example.
